Partners
- Vincent Cowling, FCA; Vince became a partner in 1996 and acts for a wide variety of clients. He is our firm’s IT partner and has particular expertise in advising clients on their computerisation requirements. He is also our audit partner and is responsible for the audit of several charities.
- Vicki Oliver, CTA, TEP; Vicki became a partner in 2001 and is a member both of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She specialises in the agricultural and rural estate sectors and her qualifications and experience enable her to understand and to advise upon their particular requirements.
- Mark Hewlett, FCA; Mark joined the firm in 2002 and became a partner in 2007; from a farming family, Mark finds this background very useful when dealing with his many agricultural clients although he is equally happy acting for other sectors of the community.
- Jill Robson, FCA; Jill joined the firm in 2019 and became a partner in 2023. She is a general practitioner with a diverse portfolio including many owner-managed businesses who operate across a wide range of sectors. Jill’s experience enables her to work closely with clients to understand what motivates them and how they can achieve their business objectives tax effectively.
Consultant
Richard Hale, FCA; Richard retired as a partner in the firm in 2016 and now acts as a consultant through his company, Richard Hale Ltd; he has practised in Cirencester since 1978 and after co-founding Woodward Hale in 1994 he worked as a general practitioner with a varied portfolio of clients, including many limited companies.
Staff
We are very fortunate to have an excellent team of people working for us, many of whom have been with us since the firm was founded in 1994; with very low levels of staff turnover, clients enjoy a high degree of continuity from year to year.
We currently employ fifteen people, many of whom have accountancy or tax related qualifications including six chartered or certified accountants.
Keeping up to date
Tax and accountancy rules and regulations are changing all the time so, to ensure that our clients are provided with up to date guidance and advice, our partners and staff regularly attend update seminars provided by the training company of which we are members. These seminars cover many aspects of taxation, both as regards compliance and planning, as well as the latest developments in accounting, auditing and company law.
